【作品背景】
　昔々、とある山奥の小屋に一人の刀鍛冶が住んでいた。その者は都会暮らしの息苦しさに心が病み、平穏と静けさを求めてここに住んでいたのだ。しかし、そこは都会とは違う喧騒が蔓延っていた。それは、その者が小屋を建て始めたころから起きていた。始まりはたまに資源が少なくなってしまっていることだった。その者は最初気のせいかと思っていたが、次に突然木の実がどこからか投げ飛ばされてきたときに確信に至った。
　それからも時折不思議なことが起きる中小屋が完成した。しかし、それがさらなる喧騒を引き起こしたのだ。
　完成したその日の夜、その者が水を片手に一息ついていると木の戸を叩く音が聞こえた。彼は戸を開け確認すると、地面に置かれた葉の上に木の実や山菜、魚が乗っていた。それを拾い、後ろを観ようとした瞬間何かの気配がいきなり後ろの居間にドッと現れたような感覚を覚えた。彼が恐る恐る後ろを振り向くと…
　それからとはいうものの、山に住む魑魅魍魎と彼は森の中で交流するようになった。喧騒を嫌っていたはずの彼の口には笑みがよく浮かべられるそうになったそうな。
　そんな刀鍛冶が人生の一振りとして打った刀である。刀には恩と感謝、平穏の念が込められており普通の刀として使えることもないが、それを刀と、その者が願うかは彼らしか知らない。

【作品概要】
　刀を3Dで創りたいと思い制作したものです。実際にどんな部分があり、名称があるのか色んなサイトや画像を見て検索しながら制作したものです。部品ごとにどう作るのか、どんな形にするのかを考えることが楽しくも難しく、いい経験とすることができました。特に面削減の為に絵の部分をテクスチャで何とかしようとしたのが非常に大変でした。次に作る刀では面削減の程度を減らし、形を面で表現できるようにしたいと思います。
